The Information Management Group (IMG) becomes SAP Special Expertise Partner in the field of „SAP for Insurance“ once again

Title confirms the success of the S&T Group’s strategy

The country-specific Special Expertise Partnership is a kind of quality stamp from SAP, with which the comprehensive process-orientated consulting know-how as well as the outstanding performance of IMG in the field of IT-supported solutions for insurances are honoured. This year SAP extended the assessment procedure for the first time to the inspection of competences and resources at an international level. With IMG belonging to the S&T Group, both of these companies together have representative offices in 23 countries and approx. 1000 SAP experts at their disposal. „This renewed title is very meaningful to us in two ways“, explains Lorenz Meyer, Business Unit Leader for Insurance with IMG. „In one respect it confirms our successful partnership with SAP regarding software solutions, which support the specific requirements of the insurance industry. Furthermore, our clients benefit from the combination of a profound knowledge in this area of business and from the SAP know-how of IMG as a Special Expertise Partner.“

Developing the SAP business with S&T

SAP is one of the most important strategic partners of the S&T Group. S&T continues to intensively develop the business with SAP-solutions and possesses the necessary competence for this. S&T Hungary (UNITIS) did qualify as an SAP Gold Partner in spring 2007. In order to transfer SAP know-how targeted at the Group and the clients, S&T in Ljubljana runs a training center, which has been certified by SAP. Beyond that S&T has an SAP outsourcing center in Zilina in Slovakia, which assumes the roles of operating and overseeing SAP systems from S&T clients. Furthermore, S&T recently started an SAP campaign for medium-sized businesses across national boundaries, addressing medium-sized enterprises in nine Central and Eastern European countries. S&T offers its SAP competences to companies of all its target industries, including among others to the financial service sector, which is important for S&T as S&T generated 19% of its turnover from this sector in 2006. According to Christian Rosner, CEO of the S&T AG: „Both the business with SAP consulting and solutions as well as the financial service sector are important cornerstones of our strategic organisation. The title that IMG received confirms our strengths in this area. Congratulations to our colleagues!“

IMG has many years of professional experience in the insurance business. Consulting services extend from strategic development through to process design and up to the conversion into standard software systems with ensuing rollout. In particular, operational excellence initiatives for the insurance industry count as one of the main fields of expertise – through business processes, which according to industrial standards can be successfully reorganised and profits maximised, as well as consulting services in SAP for the insurance sector.

SAP for Insurance is a business solution, which supports every step of the insurance process from the first customer contact through to policies and up to compensation management. Jürgen Nöth, Sales Director for insurances at SAP Germany explains: „Due to their sound consultation experience in SAP for the insurance sector, our Special Expertise Partners are able to offer clients a very high realisation quality. Beyond that, they are closely integrated into the communication and knowledge network of SAP. In this manner they receive information on the latest products early on and are able to continually extend their consulting competence.“
